o The world’s first operational dual-mode vehicle system DMV (Bus Train)
o Providing a flexible transport solution for rural areas with declining rail passenger numbers.
● Line Length: Approximately 50 km
● Stations: The DMV operates between Kaiyo (Tokushima Prefecture) and Muroto (Kochi Prefecture), utilizing both road and rail sections
● Maximum Speed:
o On rails: ~60 km/h
o On roads: ~100 km/h
● Operator: Asa Coast Railway Company

ROLLING STOCK
● 3 X DMV vehicles (Bus Train) :
o Can switch between bus and train mode in about 15 seconds
o Capacity: Around 23 passengers per vehicle
o Runs on diesel
o Equipped with special guide wheels for rail mode
● Rolling Stock Manufacturer: Tokyu Corporation
